Yet another evening in the Titanic Quarter hoping for a sunset only to be thwarted by the Belfast Hills blocking the best of the light. I ventured down past the iconic Titanic Building and the Titanic Movie studios, on past the Titanic Dock and Pump House to capture a few images of the latest Oil rig to come to Belfast for a refurb.
Having previously Photographed the Blackford Dolphin Oil Rig under the Harland and Wolff Cranes, this time it was the turn of the Borgny Dolphin self-propelled, semi-submersible drilling rig. I dialled in a nice long exposure on the trusty Nikon to help calm the gentle ripple on the surface of the waters of Belfast Lough. The muted Pastel colours of the Sky matched the water.
With some shots of the Oil Rig ‘in the Bag‘ I couldn’t resist capturing a few images of the Titanic Building before returning home for a nice warm cuppa.
