After a lazy Morning and a quick Sandwich for lunch, I ventured out on the Bicycle for a short but hard training ride tackling my nemesis, hills!
Without any flat road miles for a warm-up it was straight in to the climb up the Gilnahirk road where despite no warm-up I recorded a new personal best time for the ascent. I then turned back towards Dundonald, out along the main Newtownards road and then the long drag of a climb up the Belfast road before the nice fast descent down Bradshaw’s Brae in to Newtownards.
At that point I turned right and ascended up the Scrabo road where again I recorded a personal best time before doing a u-turn and returning home over the same roads to allow me to climb up Bradshaw’s Brae clocking up another personal best time. Finally a nice quick cruise along the Newtownards road passing Stormont and home for a hot shower.
