A cool and misty morning as I waited at the side of the Knock road for Toddy to cycle down from Craigantlet, but already the Sun was threatening to put in an appearance for a second day in a row.
A few minutes later and Toddy came in to view and we were off along the Knock road and then climbing the Saintfield road to Carryduff taking a left up to Saintfield and another left in to Station road then right for a few miles before emerging back out on to the main Crossgar road and in to Crossgar. The County Down town was still asleep and it was a third Coffee shop we visited before we found one open to stop at and top up the fluid and energy levels sitting outside in the now warm sunshine.
Leaving Crossgar in the direction of Downpatrick we took a left turn to get on to quieter country roads again and another left in Scaddy crossing the Derryboye crossroads and on in to Killinchy before descending down to Balloo. A left turn again followed by numerous twists, turns and climbs and we were now in Comber and decided to take a more leisurely pace and use the Comber Greenway to get to Dundonald where we stopped for another brew.
I wanted a few more miles to hit my Monthly target so it was down the Newtownards road, over the Dee street bridge, out the Airport road to Hollywood and back in again and home for some rest and recuperation. Another 60 mile ride in perfect weather conditions and another good workout.
