Today was one of those picture postcard perfect days, it was dry, there was barely a breeze, there was a nip in the air early on but as the morning progressed it became very mild and the Sun even put in a couple of brief appearances.
I got myself geared up for the Bicycle aiming for a solo spin that would afford me the opportunity to stop as and when I wanted to capture a Photograph or two. To combat the chill in the early Morning Air I ventured up in to the Castlereagh hills, the effort of fighting gravity produced plenty of body heat!
My route took me across the Castlereagh Hills to Carryduff then in to the lanes again emerging out at Saintfield, then along the Listooder Road at the back of Rowallane Gardens where I stopped to capture a few pics and enjoy the Autumnal scenes.
From Rowallane it was on to Crossgar then over to Derryboye crossroads at that point I turned right to cycle to Killyleagh but a few miles further down the road I changed my mind came back up to Derryboye crossroads and made my way across to Balloo and heading back to Comber and home for a handy enough 44 miles.
If we could just forget all about Winter this year and extend the Autumn season I’d be well pleased.
