Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside

Up and out on the Bicycle early Doors just as daylight was breaking through after a Night of gusty Winds and heavy Rain showers. The Roads were soaking but it wasn’t raining as I set off along the Upper Newtownards Road past Stormont in the Old Belfast Road and across the Ballybarnes Road to Clandeboye and along the Crawfordsburn Road to Bangor.

Riding out of Bangor and round by Groomsport then hugging the Coast to Donaghadee.

Staying on the Coast Road progress was tougher as I was now travelling slightly in to the Wind then when I turned right in Millisle to come inland to cross the Peninsula the Wind was fully head on which made things tougher again. Bypassing Carrowdore I cycled through Loughries and descended down in to Newtownards then made my way past Kiltonga Wildlife Reserve and up the Bradshaws Brae climb before descending down on to the Upper Newtownards Road again and home through Dundonald.

A good, Forty Mile solo Cycle on a nice Morning.
